13-7. Migration: Setting Manager's Authority

Introduction

Administrators and sub-administrators of the mailing list with the current system will migrate uniformly to owners in the new system (Group).

As necessary, perform a change of authority from owners to managers etc.
* Refer here for the difference between an administrator and a sub-administrator.
For the roles in Group of owners, managers, etc. refer to Google Group: Roles of the Group .

If it is not particularly necessary to change authority, this procedure is unnecessary. In this case, return to "13. Mailing list Migration Method" .

Authority change procedure

For your reference, the method of changing authority from owner to manager is entered below.

Please perform the entire following procedure.

  1. Confirming authority under the current system (DEEPMail)
  2. Setting under the new system (Gmail)

Confirming authority under the current system (DEEPMail)

  1. Go to the top page of the current system (DEEPMail), and then click "Mailing List" in the top menu. The mailing list will start, so please perform the following procedure in mailing list.



  2. Click "Manage List" on the menu on the left.



  3. Click a number in the row, "Number of Members" on the mailing list.



  4. In the category row, that with "M" attached becomes Administrator, and that with "S+numeral" becomes Sub-administrator.




Setting under the new system (Gmail)

  1. Select Group from the menu of the new system (Gmail).



  2. Click "My Group".



  3. Click "Manage" of the mailing list to be set.



  4. "All Members" is displayed.



  5. Select the user whose authority you wish to change by, from the "Operation" buttons, selecting "Add a Role" → "Manager".

    Select people with Keio Apps ID addresses from users whose authority you wish to change.
    Keio Apps ID of users can be confirmed here .
