Procedure for migrating personal information settings

Introduction

Migrate the "Personal information settings" from the current system (DEEPMail) to the new system (Gmail).

Migration of personal information settings is done by the individual.

Please perform all the following steps

* This example uses Yahoo! mail settings.

  1. Step 1: Check the personal information settings in the current system (DEEPMail)
  2. Step 2: Reset them in the new system (Gmail)

Step 1: Check the personal information settings in the current system (DEEPMail)

  1. Log into the current system (DEEPMail).
  2. "Options" → "Change personal information" → "Correct" then click the icon.

  3. When your Keio ID information is displayed, as shown below.

    1. When there are "Reply-to (always added)" settings
      Step 2. Carry out 2-1.Move to Step 2.2-1. When you want to edit a previously set account reply-to address.

    2. When there are no "Reply-to (always added)" settings
      The step in "2-2. Procedure for migrating personal information settings" is not required.Follow the migration process site map.

  4. When your Keio ID information and other sender information is displayed, as shown below, check the following,
    and move to Step 2.2-2. When setting a non-Keio Mail address.

    - Name
    - Email address ("From" header)
    - Reply-to (always added)
    - Bcc (always added)
    → * There are no settings for always adding "Bcc" in the standard Gmail functions. You can set this each time you send an email.

Step 2: Reset them in the new system (Gmail)

Make one of the following settings.

  1. Step 2-1. When you want to edit a previously set account reply-to address
  2. Step 2-2. When setting a non-Keio Mail address

Step 2-1. When you want to edit a previously set account reply-to address

  1. Log into the new system (Gmail).
  2. From the gearwheel menu at the top right of the screen, click [Settings] → [Account tab].

  3. Click "Edit information" for the account where you wish to change your Name (item).

  4. When the email address editing screen is shown, you can set your name and reply-to address to anything you like.
    Once you have finished editing, click "Save changes."

Step 2-2. When setting a non-Keio Mail address

This shows an example of setting up Yahoo! Mail.
Read again as appropriate for the email address you will set yourself.

  1. Log into the new system (Gmail).

  2. From the gearwheel menu at the top right of the screen, click [Settings] → [Account tab].

  3. Click the "Add email address" in your Name (item).

  4. The Add email address screen will be displayed.Use the following contents you checked in Step 1 to fill in each item, then click "To the next step."

    "Name" → Set with "Name" (e.g. Keio Taro)
    "Email address ("From" header)" → Set in "Email address" (e.g. keio-taro@yahoo.co.jp)
    "Reply-to (always added)" → Click "Specify a separate reply-to address" and set in "Reply-to address."
    * This can be set to anything you like.
  5. A confirmation email will need to be sent to check that you are the owner of the email address you set.
    Enter the required items and click "Add account."
    Refer to the link to check your Keio Apps ID and email software password.

  6. Once the following confirmation email has been sent, either click the link to confirm it, or enter the confirmation code and click "Confirm."

  7. When you want to use the added address (Keio ID) as your default, click "Set as default" on the right of the target account.

This completes the migration process for "2. Web email personal preferences and personal information settings."
