PC Lending for Student

Lending of 2024 Spring semester will start Monday, April 8, 2024.

Shonan Fujisawa Information Technology Center（Shonan Fujisawa KIC）lends PC set (Windows, or Mac). With the PC, Various application software is available to use and also CNS wireless LAN is available to connect. For lending, eligibility and conditions are required. Please check the followings.

How to lend

Eligible student

• Student of Faculty of Policy Management, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, the Graduate School of Media and Governance, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, and Graduate School of Health Management
• Excluding the above, Keio student of graduate schools and Faculty who have classes of SFC.

Conditions for lending

• In case, you are unable to bring your own PC due to malfunction or loss.
• In case, you are unable to use software, which is required on class on your own PC.
• In case, you are unable to own your PC due to economic poverty.

Lending Term

Available during course period (including test term and excluding winter break term)
In principle, for 7 nights and 8days.

For Lending

For lending, submit Lending PC Use Application Form to Shonan Fujisawa KIC CNS service desk. The application form is available at Shonan Fujisawa KIC CNS service desk. Please refer to the application procedure below for how to apply.
Only one set per person is available to lend.
Lending PC to others and returning by proxy are not allowed. The person who lend the PC must return it. After returning, if there are stocks, you can lend PC again.

Reception hours

According to the opening hours of the Shonan Fujisawa KIC CNS service desk.
9:15～17:00, Weekdays
Lending PC will be accepted on first-come-first-served basis from the opening of Shonan Fujisawa KIC CNS service desk and will end as soon as it's out of stock.

How to apply

1. Visit to Reception desk at Shonan Fujisawa KIC, and fill in the form and submit it along with your student card.
   If you do not have your student ID, you will not be able to apply.

2. It takes few minutes to verify your identity with your student ID and to confirm the lending items at the time of lending/returning.

Usage rules and notices

• Use for educational, research or learning purposes. Use for commercial purposes (sale of goods, information provision which fees are charged, etc.) is prohibited.
• The borrower student self must carry out the lending/returning procedures and use it by borrower student self. (Lending PC to others and returning by proxy are not allowed.)
• Be sure to return the PC by the closing time of the due date.
• If the PC has not been returned by the due date, regardless of the reason, we will stop lending the PC for one week (7 days) for each overdue day from the day you returned it. In addition, we will ask you to fill in the detailed reason for the delay in the prescribed document and submit it. Even if the borrowing suspension period has passed, we will not lend the item again until the document is accepted.
• If the number of overdue days exceeds 10 days, the lending will be indefinitely suspended.
• If we are unable to contact student during long-term arrear, we will contact your registered guarantor to Keio University.
• In case of long-term arrear, we may judge it as loss.
• If there is no contact from the student at the time of arrear, and does not respond to the return request from Shonan Fujisawa KIC, we will report to the faculty/graduate which the student belongs.
• If we are unable to connect to the "reliable contact information" entered on the application form, the lending PC may be suspended indefinitely.
• Be sure to check the condition of the PC when renting it out, and report　if there’s any problem immediately.
• If the damage or loss (including theft) caused, notify that Shonan Fujisawa KIC immediately. Depending on the situation, we may ask you to stop lending, compensate for the relevant amount, or repay the actual item.
• Do not engage in fraudulent acts with anonymity on the network and slander other users.
• Do not act in violation of the law (copyright and portrait right infringement, unauthorized access, transmission of obscene images, child pornography, child abuse content, etc.).
• Shonan Fujisawa KIC may investigate usage data as necessary and may suspend lending indefinitely if it is deemed that the above usage rules are clearly violated. In addition, if Shonan Fujisawa KIC determines that there is a significant problem with the usage and handling of the equipment, lending will be suspended for an indefinite period.

All data will be erased after returning, so please back up any necessary data by yourself.
