Trouble of IPP Printing on Windows OS

Currently, system failures of IPP printing on Windows OS occur after the last Windows Update.

  • Case Example:
    • Shared printers at SFC cannot print any documents through IPP when I use my PC without changing configuration.
    • Setting IPP printing cannot be done with my PC.
  • Device: Windows OS
  • Cause: Possibility of program bugs based on MS security information (MS12-066)

  • Solution: You should obtain the patch from the URL below and install it. Please take full responsibility for your actions about the patch. If you do not know how to solve this system failures, please contact Shonan Fujisawa ITC service desk.
    1. Download a patch file from the following URL.
      http://www.mita.cc.keio.ac.jp/download/fix_kb2585542.cmd (Access from Keio only)
    2. Click on "fix_kb2585542" with the right mouse button and select "Run as administrator". If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes to apply permission to allow the program to run with full permission as an administrator.
