Temporary Recovery from File Server System Failures (Oct. 5)
As described below, the file server had unexpected system failures.
Now, it has been entirely recovered.
[System failures on the file server]
Period: October 4 at 16:35 to October 5 at 11:00, 2012
Description: Because of system failures on the file server for students, some students could not access their personal home directories on CNS. They also could not logon to public PC (Windows/Mac), and they could not send/receive CNS mails via IMAP.
Measure: By backup system, the file server data was recovered. It was the same data stored on October 4 at 16:34
Remark: The data stored at 16:35 on October 4 could not be recovered. Unfortunately, some file data was corrupted. Shonan Fujisawa ITC will contact students regarding the corrupted data.
