About the Service Migration from GSMG VPS to CNS VPS

The decision has been made to migrate the cloud computing (VPS) service, previously provided for students and faculty of the Graduate School of Media and Governance, into the CNS public cloud computing service.
If you are currently using the GSMG VPS service, please review the changes on this page.

Service Changes

The changes due to the service migration are as follows.
For those currently using GSMG VPS, you can continue to use it with the current configuration without any changes.

  • Application Method: Apply through "CNS Cloud Computing Service" on SFC-CNS online application
  • Virtual Machine Size:
    Small: 1 vCPU, RAM 4GB, Storage 40GB
    Medium: 2 vCPU, RAM 8GB, Storage 80GB

For those currently using GSMG VPS service

No special action is required in response to the service change. There will be no downtime or change in IP addresses during the virtual machine migration.

Please note that annual renewal will continue to be done through the GSMG VPS service form in the Online Application system, not one for CNS VPS service.
Also, you can not apply for a new virtual machine allocation or modification on existing ones (e.g., changing OS or hardware specs), but only renewals and terminations are available.
