Regarding Google's "Gemini Free Upgrade Offer for University Students"
The "Gemini Free Upgrade Offer for University Students" released by Google in May is NOT a service provided by Keio University. When using this program, please be aware of the following points and proceed at your own risk.
- This program is a limited-time offer within "Google One," a personal premium membership plan independently offered by Google. It is separate from ''Google Workspace for Education'', which is contracted and provided by Keio University.
- While the application requirements for this program necessitate identity verification using an email address issued by a university, the terms and conditions are determined by Google. For any inquiries, please contact the Google Help Center directly . We have received confirmation from Google that @keio.jp email addresses are currently eligible for use.
- Please be careful to avoid any fraudulent use (such as use by ineligible persons). There is a possibility that the benefits may be terminated due to fraudulent use.
- It appears that after a certain period, this program will automatically transition to a regular subscription, incurring monthly/annual fees. If you wish to terminate your use, you must explicitly cancel the service yourself (as this is a direct contract between you and Google, Keio University cannot be involved in any way).
For any inquiries regarding this matter, please contact the Google Help Center.
