[URGENT] Forced Reset of SFC-CNS Login Passwords and Request for Reconfiguration (December 25, 2025)

Notice and Apology Regarding Potential Leakage of Personal Information Due to Unauthorized Access (December 26, 2025)

Regarding the potential leakage of personal information due to unauthorized access announced previously, the "Wi-Fi connection password" (Wireless LAN password provided by SFC-CNS) included in the leaked data will be forcibly deleted as described below to ensure the safety of the campus communication environment.
Details are provided below, but please note that if you change your Wireless LAN password yourself in advance, you will be exempt from this forced deletion. We ask for your cooperation in changing your password beforehand.

1. Target Passwords

This applies to the Wireless LAN Password (PEAP Password) used when connecting to the wireless LAN services "CNS3" and "eduroam" accessible with an SFC-CNS account.
For details on the password, please refer to [Authentication with Password (EAP-PEAP)].

If you are connecting to the wireless LAN using the following authentication methods, there is no impact from this forced password deletion. You may continue to use them as is.
  • Connection using keio.jp (Keio ID) authentication (keiomobile2, eduroam)
  • Connection using Personal Certificate authentication (CNS)
  • Connection using MAC Address Registration (CNS2)

2. Forced Deletion of Wireless LAN Passwords

Date and Time: February 12, 2026 (Thu) 6:00 p.m.

After the forced deletion, target wireless LAN services will become unavailable until you "Issue a new password" and "Update the password on your device (PC/Smartphone, etc.)".

* Since the wireless connection will stop at the timing of re-authentication on the device side, it may be possible to use the service temporarily even after the forced deletion implementation.

3. Users Exempt from Forced Deletion

Users who have reset or newly created their Wireless LAN Password (PEAP Password) themselves during the following period are exempt from this forced deletion.

  • From November 28, 2025, 12:00 a.m. to February 12, 2026, 5:15 p.m.

To avoid disconnection, please reset your password yourself by 5:15 p.m. on February 12, 2026.

4. Procedure for Resetting Wireless LAN Password

A. Before Forced Deletion (February 12, 2026, 5:15 p.m.)

By completing the settings in advance, you can continue to use Wi-Fi without disconnection even after the forced deletion.
For the reset procedure, please log in to here (keio.jp authentication required) and follow the on-screen instructions.

B. After Forced Deletion

Target wireless LAN services will become unavailable after the forced deletion.
Please refer to here to reissue the password and update the password on your device.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining campus-wide security.
