Setup Procedure

The following is a setup example for Microsoft Outlook (new) on Windows.

How to Check Your Outlook Version

  1. Launch Outlook(new).
  2. If the "New Outlook" toggle switch in the top right corner of the screen is turned on, you are using Outlook(new).

SPAM Filtering Setup Example

  1. Launch Outlook(new).
  2. Right-click [Inbox].

  3. Select [Create new subfolder] from the displayed menu.

  4. An input field will appear; enter [SPAM].

  5. Confirm that a folder named [SPAM] has been created.

  6. Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  7. The [Settings] window will open. Click [Mail] > [Rules] > [Add new rule] in that order.

  8. The settings window will open. Enter "SPAM" in the "Name your rule" field, configure the following settings, and click [Save].

    • "Add a condition" section
      • Message header includes
      • X-Ironport
      • SPAM
    • "Add an action" section
      • Move to
      • Select the "SPAM" folder you created earlier
  9. You will return to the [Settings] window; confirm that the [SPAM] rule has been added.
