(Q1) How do I activate my ID?
(A1) You can find the activation procedure in the User's Guide. Please refer to that guide.

(Q2) What is activation?
(A2) To use keio.jp, you must obtain a Keio ID and follow a specific procedure to gain access to the system.
  We call this process "activation".
  To activate your ID, you need a key (password) to identify you as the actual user associated with the ID.
  This key is called the "activation key".

(Q3) I can't activate my ID.
  I encountered an error when trying to activate my ID and can't register.
(A3) You can find the activation procedure in the User's Guide.
  Check the procedure described in the User's Guide, review the content of the error message, and try again.

(Q4) Can I create any name (ID) that I want?
(A4) You can use any combination of characters, though there are some system restrictions.

(Q5) I received a message telling me that my activation key is invalid.
(A5) Make sure you entered the correct activation key.
  An activation key consists of 16 characters, made up of upper and lower case letters, and numbers.
  Please recheck your notification and try entering the activation key again.
  If you still have a problem, contact the Help Desk.

(Q6) I received a message telling me that my ID has already been activated.
(A6) You cannot activate an ID that has already been activated.
  If you see this error message even though you have never activated the ID,
  contact the Help Desk.

(Q7) I want to change the Keio ID that I registered.
  I entered some wrong characters when I registered my Keio ID. Can I change the ID?
(A7) In principle, a Keio ID that is already registered cannot be changed.
  Make sure to specify the correct ID when you register.

(Q8) The name that appears when I activate the ID is not correct.
(A8) Please contact the Help Desk.

(Q9) Part of my name (in kanji characters) is not displayed when I register the ID.
  My name is wrongly displayed in simplified kanji characters.
(A9) Kanji characters that are not included in the Japanese character code are replaced with alternative characters.
  We apologize for the inconvenience if the correct characters are not displayed.

(Q10) Do I really have to make an ID and password? Is it absolutely necessary to register?
(A10) The Keio ID is the first step in creating the environment
  in which users can securely and quickly get access to the information system services at Keio University.
  Registration for this service is not mandatory, but we would very much appreciate it
  if you would obtain a Keio ID early and cooperate in the creation of this new integrated service.

(Q11) Do I have to activate my ID as soon as I receive the activation key?
(A11) The activation key is valid for one year.
  Make sure to activate your ID before the expiry date of the key.

(Q12) My parent is a faculty member at Keio and I am a student here. Can we register with the same address?
(A12) Each person is required to have their own ID. Please use your own ID to register.

(Q13) Why do I have to enter my date of birth?
(A13) Your date of birth is used to identify you during activation as a person that is authorized to use the system.
