Introduction of Anti-Phishing E-mail Server and Temporary Suspension of SFC-CNS Mail Service (Dec. 11)
Shonan Fujisawa ITC will install an anti-phishing email filtering server on Saturday, December 11, 2021, as a countermeasure against the increasing number of phishing mails in recent years. As part of the installation process, SFC-CNS email service will be temporarily suspended.
[Changes due to the introduction of the anti-phishing mail filtering server]
- If an email sent to SFC-CNS is judged as a phishing email by the anti-phishing email server, the email will be discarded.
- Emails to mailing lists will be newly included as part of the spam quarantine service.
- Spam detection when forwarding to an email address outside of CNS:
- Currently, emails that are forwarded externally will be tagged "[SPAM]" in the subject line and then forwarded. However, email to some domains will be discarded if judged to be spam.
- After the maintenance is finished, forwarded e-mails will be delivered according to each CNS user's spam policy setting (default setting: spam email will be quarantined). However, email to some domains will be discarded if judged to be spam.
