Web Meeting (Zoom) Setup Method

It is possible to acquire links for all classes simply by making a single on-screen reservation for all classes with Canvas LMS. Due to the fact that they are hybrid classes, classes that have been recorded can be made available to students simply by setting the recordings that are to be released to [ON].

Zoom Setup Method

  1. For example, (1) click on the icon located next to [(1) Zoom] for the first meeting, to set the parameters for making meetings public (the mark will turn green, and the contents will be able to be viewed by the attending students).
    Then click on the (2) Zoom title.
  2. The Zoom screen will be displayed. Click on [Schedule a New Meeting].
  3. Carry out the operations from (1) to (12) and set up the Zoom meetings for all of the lectures you will host.
  4. Click on [Zoom] located on the menu on the left.
  5. Delete the meetings that have been set to be held on national holidays, etc., if no lectures are scheduled.

Making Recorded Meetings Public

(1)Click on [Zoom] to display the Zoom screen.
(2)Click on the [Cloud Recordings] tab to display a list of the topics recorded on the cloud.
(3)Click on the buttons located in the column of topics that are to be made public so that they are made available to attending students.

Meetings: Cloud Recording Data

The period for storing data saved with the cloud recording function is 120 days (+ 30 days in the trash can).
If recordings of meetings are to be made public for attending students after 120 days, consider making them available on Videos (Panopto) instead of Zoom.

Meetings: Cloud Recording Data

(1)Click on [Zoom] to display the Zoom screen.
(2)Click on the [Cloud Recordings] tab to display a list of the topics recorded on the cloud.
(3) Click on the topic title or the file size link.

The recorded meeting data will be displayed on the left, and the audio only data will be displayed on the right.
When the image of the recording is clicked, the [Pass Code] will automatically be saved on the clipboard, and the pass code entry screen will be displayed.
Paste the code in the pass code column and click on [View Recording] to play back the recorded data.
To download the recorded data, click on (4) [Download].

Note: The download option will only be displayed for lecturers, not attending students

* If [Download] is not displayed, sign in directly to the Zoom service Keio tenant (https://keio-univ.zoom.us/) and click on [Recordings] to download the relevant recording.

Making Meetings Public on Videos (Panopto)

Click on (1) [+] for the course module that is to be displayed.

Select (2)[External Tools], click on (3) Videos (Panopto) and upload the video file --> Click on (4) [Item] to create.

A Videos (Panopto) module will be created under the file name. (5) Click on the vertical 3-dot leader and then click on [Edit] to enable the display name, etc., to be edited.

It is possible to change the title in the (6) title column. (7) Upd ate when all procedures have been completed.

(8)Click on the icon located next to [Panopto] to set the parameters for making videos public (the mark will turn green, and the contents will be able to be viewed by the attending students).


Checking the Statistics for Videos Made Public on Videos (Panopto)

It is possible to view information on all videos uploaded to Videos (Panopto) from the [Statistics].
However, if this is viewed on a terminal for which Adblocker or other advertisement blocking tools are activated, there are cases in which the data will not be reflected correctly on the viewing statistics.
Feel free to use this function within the limitations of reference information.

  • Total playback time and total number of playbacks for each video
  • The number of minutes and percentages of videos viewed by specific individuals

The above and other information can be checked with this function.

  1. Select (1) [Videos (Panopto)] from the menu on the left to display a list of videos.A button displaying available actions for the relevant video will be displayed when the mouse pointer is placed over the (2) arrow in the column of the video for which the [Statistics] are to be checked, so click on the (3) [Statistics] button.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom with (4) to check the completion rates displayed for the (5) top viewers.
